We are excited to again provide an extraordinary professional learning experience just for kindergarten through fifth grade teachers...the K-5 Economic Education Expo (#K5E3)! This year’s event will be held in-person on the campus of the Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campusin Savannah.
The purpose of this conference is to inspire and equip educators to teach the Grades K-5 economic and personal finance standards effectively with reliable resources and engaging instructional strategies. Our hope is that you will leave this event refreshed and energized to teach this vital subject with confidence and enthusiasm.
What We Will Provide Each Participant:
High quality professional learning sessions led by GCEE, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, GaDOE, Booth Western Art Museum, and more
All instructional resources shared during presentations, including picture books and digital materials
Overnight accommodations in dorms on Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus for the nights of June 14 and 15
Participants staying overnight will need to bring their own bedding, towel/washcloth, and toiletries.
Only participants of this conference are allowed to stay in these accommodations we provide.
Breakfast and lunch on-campus both June 15 and 16
Dinner off-campus in Savannah the evening of June 15
A walking "ghost tour" of Savannah with an econ twist after dinner on June 15
A fun and relaxing opportunity to hang out and learn with other fabulous teachers like yourself

June 14 (2:00pm-5:30pm):
Check-in (pick up conference bag and get settled in dorm room; dinner on your own)
June 15:
7:45am-8:45am ~ Breakfast (on-campus)
9:00am-12:00pm ~ Conference sessions
12:00pm-12:55pm ~ Lunch (on-campus)
1:00pm~3:00pm ~ Conference sessions
6:00pm-9:00pm ~ Dinner off-campus in Savannah/walking "ghost tour" afterward
June 16
7:45am-8:45am ~ Breakfast (on-campus)
9:00am-11:30am ~ Conference sessions
12:00pm-12:55pm ~ Lunch (on-campus)
1:00pm~2:50pm ~ Conference sessions
3:00pm-3:30pm ~ Wrap up and deposit checks returned to participants
There is no registration fee, but we do require a $50 check from you to hold your spot. This check will be returned to you at the conclusion of the conference.
Part 2 - Mail a personal or cashier's check for $50 payable to "GCEE" at the address below to hold your spot within 3 days of registering on this website. This exact check will be handed back to you at the conclusion of the conference before you head home. No money orders or digital transactions

Please note...Registration is not finalized until the check for $50 made out to GCEE is received and a confirmation email is sent to you.
Registration (including the $50 deposit) deadline is May 26, 2023 OR when all fifty conference spots are filled, whichever comes first. This is a first-come, first-served registration process. We will have a waiting list, but it is best to register and submit your deposit as soon as possible.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation by May 26, 2023 - Your check will be mailed back to you.
Cancellation after May 26, 2023 - Your check will not be returned to you.
