This action-packed workshop highlights the economic impact of property ownership and other U.S. federal policies during the 20th and 21st centuries. Topics will cover the economic impact of home ownership, lending and development practices, and the role of housing as an investment for building personal and generational wealth in the U.S.  Lessons align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) in both Personal Finance & Economics and U.S. History courses. Also, workshop co-hosts, the Atlanta-based Foundation for Economic Education, will share information about their no-cost educator resources and teacher community. Attendees will receive a $100 Amazon gift card for participation.

Audience:  Econ, Government, and US History Teachers, Grades 9 – 12
